Beginning this academic year, the University Libraries, in collaboration with The Graduate College, are updating the way graduate students submit theses and dissertations. Graduate theses and dissertations will now be submitted through ProQuest ETD Administrator, providing a more streamlined submission experience while increasing the visibility and discoverability of student research.
Faculty, graduate advisors, and committee members play an important role in guiding students through the submission process and should be aware of these updates. Following submission and approval, theses and dissertations will continue to be preserved and made openly available through the TXST Digital Repository.
What's Changing?
Graduate theses and dissertations will now be submitted through ProQuest ETD Administrator, a platform used by universities worldwide to manage electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs). This transition, led by University Libraries in collaboration with The Graduate College, provides a submission process designed specifically for graduate degree requirements while maintaining the University’s commitment to preserving and sharing student scholarship.
The ProQuest ETD Administrator platform functions similarly to the previous submission platform and with the same processes and workflows for submissions and approvals. Although the submission platform is changing, approved theses and dissertations will continue to be archived in the TXST Digital Repository, ensuring long-term preservation and access.
