Library Instruction and First Year Research (January 20)

Come learn about the many options for library and information literacy instruction. This session will define information literacy core concepts, and identify challenges that faculty may face when trying to incorporate concepts into their courses. Librarians want to hit the ground running with first year students. Hear from Teaching and Learning Asst. Accessible Library Resources (February 3)

University Libraries negotiates with vendors to provide scholarly resources that are accessible to everyone. Stephanie Towery, Head of Scholarly Resources, will show you where to find various features in different platforms and involving different media. She will also cover the basic requirements for accessibility due in April 2026 and steps you can take to make sure your course content is accessible.

Diving into SCOPUS Database (February 17)

Library databases are not just for finding research publications to support your own work. Scopus has a variety of tools and features to enhance your work as a scholar and impact your research and support through the tenure process. Our Elsevier Scopus representatives will share how you can leverage this database to meet you needs as faculty and graduate students.

Open Educational Resources (OER) (March 3)

Join us for a Lunchtime Learning Workshop on OER content—details coming soon!

AI and Information Literacy (March 31)

Generative AI is quickly becoming part of the research process. Come explore concepts, tools, and opportunities to teach students how to think critically about information discovery and creation.

Getting Started with GIS (April 14)
