Want to learn more about records retention, submitting a disposition request form, or archiving materials?
Current trainings include:
- Basics of Records Management: A foundational course designed to inform faculty and staff about records management best practices throughout the records lifecycle.
- In-person and virtual sessions offered twice per year (Fall 2026 dates TBD).
- Self-paced Canvas course available online.
- Intro to Records Management for Records Coordinators: An intermediate level course geared toward participants in the Records Coordinator Program.

- Group Training: Use our Training Request Form to schedule a group training session for small to large groups. Content can be customized to meet your group's information needs.
Consulting Services
Still have questions or need targeted assistance? We consult on records management issues including:
- Understanding how to read and apply the Records Retention Schedule to your records.
- Categorizing records by records series and identifying retention periods.
- Setting up effective file structures for new or existing file directories or physical filing systems.
- Evaluating records with long-term value for transfer to the university archives.
