The first feature of the Alkek Laboratory for Immersive Arts and Sciences (ALIAS).

Location: Alkek Library First Floor
Directions: Use door next to the Immersion Studio, proceed down the hall, turn right, proceed to the end of the hallway and enter through the large double doors on the left. (Note: you must have an appointment to access the studio)
ALIAS Virtual Production Studio offers a state-of-the-art filmmaking experience. Use the 30-feet LED panels to transform your set into anything you can imagine. Create your own 3D world in our Unreal Engine workshop or use one of our premade sets. The studio includes panels, a 6K camera, a stage and cinema quality audio and lighting equipment.
ALIAS is Alkek One's suite of immersive storytelling technology labs. Future labs will include digital audio production studios and a gallery space.
Training Required: MUST COMPLETE VIRTUAL PRODUCTION MICRO-CREDENTIAL WORKSHOP

Studio Equipment
Dreamscape panels (rear view)
The ALIAS Production Studio includes a wall of LED panels. The wall is 11 feet high and 30 feet wide which display 3D environments.
RED Komodo X
The Komodo-X camera cinema features sensor technology that multiplies frame rate and dynamic range performance.
Unreal Engine
Build or use pre-built 3D assets from Unreal Engine that can be reused across every phase of production.
