Alkek Print Shop
The Alkek Print Shop on the library’s first floor offers affordable specialty printing, payable by credit card. Unlike Send-N-Print upstairs, it provides large-format printing, scanning, and small-scale laminating for creative and academic projects, serving students, faculty, and staff with professional quality.

Services Offered
Large Format Printing
Prints larger than 11x17” are produced on large-format printers at $6 per linear foot, with some posters requiring 2–3 days for completion, depending on file format, print readiness, and queue.
Bring Your Own Paper
The price per page drops to $0.05 when using your own paper, but non-standard sizes (other than 8.5x11 or 11x17) require approval before use on Inkjet printers.
Document Finishing
All document finishing services are charged in sets of 10 items, with prices ranging from $0.10 to $0.24 per set. Additional fees apply for services such as stapling, cutting, or folding.
Scanning
Free of Charge
Patrons must provide physical materials for scanning. Each item will be assessed to ensure it can be safely handled and processed through the scanner. Fragile materials will be placed in a Mylar sleeve for protection.

Can I print my Send&Print document here?
Alkek Print Shop is not associated with Send&Print. We offer services at cost to the patron and not through your Send&Print balance. Please use one of the Send&Print printers to print your document.

Is the Alkek Print Shop the same as Copy Cats printing services?
No, the Alkek Print Shop operates independently and is not connected to Copy Cats printing services.

Where else can I print documents on campus?
You can print your documents at Copy Cats, which is located in Nueces Hall or use Send&Print service.

I have some large posters printed here, can I get them laminated here too?
No, we only laminate up to 11x17 with prices ranging from $.25-$.42 per laminating pouch. But you can go to Copy Cats for laminating prints up to 24 inches.

Can I use my "Print Credits" here?
No, all services are paid for out of pocket. Alkek Print Shop prices vary depending on the services that are paid with a credit card.

Can I print a poster for my apartment?
Yes, posters are $6 per linear foot depending on size. But please make sure it is the size you want it to be when the file has been sent.

Is it possible to laminate my poster at this location?
We are limited to laminating items that are up to 11X17 inches in size.

Please submit your documents via our online form to ensure they are placed in our printing queue. We cannot guarantee immediate printing for walk-up requests.
