Group Study Rooms

Location: Alkek Library Floors 5-7, ASB South TechSpot 
Group Study Rooms: Alkek512, 514, 516*, 531, 532, 550, 610, 612, 614, 616, 631, 632, 710, 712, 714, 716. 

Mobility Impaired Accommodation Room: Alkek 510 is a reservable group study room with an adjustable height table for those with wheelchairs. The room can be reserved by anyone, but if an individual with a disability needs the space, patrons without a disability may be asked to forfeit their reservation.

Collaboration Rooms 233-236 also include large screens for sharing media and there are media equipped Collaboration Rooms in the ASB South TechSpot, ASB - 204, 205.
Capacity: Varies by room from 6-14.


Advanced reservations - Make an advanced reservation from a phone, tablet, laptop or computer workstationYou can reserve spaces in the library for up to two hours per day.

Room Tablets: You can also make an onsite reservation from the tablets located outside each reservable spaces using your mobile device. Touch the green Book Now button from the tablet and scan the QR code to access the online reservation system.

Restrictions: These rooms are intended to be used for study and academic work. They are not to be used for instructor office hours or for professional business purposes. Violators will be asked to leave.

  • Dry-erase and/or chalkboards
  • Bring your laptop or check one out at the third floor Checkout Desk.
  • *There is a shared media monitor in room 516.

There are varying sized group study rooms located around the perimeter of floors 5-7. The collaboration rooms on the main floor along the back wall. Learn how to reserve one of these spaces for up to two-hour sessions here.

Private Study Rooms: There are also private study rooms located along the perimeter of floors 5-7 that are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
