Checking Out Items

Texas State University students, faculty, and staff can check out items available at RRC Library.

Requesting Items from Alkek Library, the Archives and Research Center (ARC) or the Music Library

Items in the library catalog that can be requested, have a blue Request/Hold button at the top right side of the catalog entry. When you click on that button, you will be requested to supply your NetID/password. Once you hit submit from that screen, you will land on a Request Verification screen that will prompt you to select a pickup location.

Return your checked out items to RRC Library, Alkek Library, the ARC, or Music LibraryException: Alkek Library reserve items must be returned to the Alkek Reserves Desk. This service is available for students, faculty, and staff with active NetIDs to save time traveling between Round Rock and San Marcos campuses for library items.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Use ILL to request items not owned by University Libraries. Designate Round Rock for the Delivery Location in ILLiad, the online ILL request system, to pick up items at RRC Library.

Proxy Borrowers

Faculty can complete the Proxy Form to designate proxy borrowers such as student employees to be authorized to check out items for a semester. Items will be checked out to the faculty's account, not the proxy's.
